Well the number of people cracking WiFi networks will certainly
increase. Quickly followed by lots of people claiming they were hacked
and didn't download anything themselves.
When setting up my [encrypted] wireless network, I came across 3
unencrypted ones which were quite happy to let me connect and access
the internet. It proved a valuable occurence, as it allowed me to
demonstrate to my wife the dangers of leaving it unencrypted, as she
turned the router off, and saw the PC happily continue connecting.
I've got 2 "linksys" and a "D-link". I wonder what make the Sky free
wireless router is ...
I assume you also know it isn't difficult to crack a WEP encrypted
network as well. I've managed them in a few minutes.
Always use WPA/WPA2.
