Not at all. I have several cars with current MOTs but no current VED.
They'll be taken for a test before the old test expires, so will be being
driven untaxed but tested.

How nice to see you return to the thread! You are of course correct I
was forgetting that it was a possible scenario that you would have a
car with MOT and no VED and for whatever reason you wanted to delay
licencing it, you might for example want to get the MOT out of the way
for another year but wish to keep it SORN for until the start of the
next calander month or longer.
But anyway, Adrian, would you care to help this old illiterate muppet
search google for the relevant RTA section? Or it may be in some
other act who knows, but we won't know until we find it will we?
