This is classic BT Loose Interpretation of English and Standards (or LIES for short).

ISDN was classic as their "Highway" offering was neither Integrated nor Standard (no S-Bus power for a start so a bog standard ISDN phone wouldn't work when plugged in!).

BT also have terminological problems with words like "unlimited", "inclusive", "free", "reduced" and "agreed" which seem to mean something different to them as compared to anyone else who has studied English a little even as a foreign language, as well as a near terminal inability to get bills right.

Their latest systematic scam is that they (as they have always done) charge rental in advance. The rip off is that AFTER you have paid they increase the rent and then charge that on the next bill, even though you have already paid in full up front! Bit like flight surcharges and BA. Indeed there seems to be an unwritten rule that if a company has got "British" in its name then it will be leading the pack on stitching up punters - BA, BT, BAA, BG etc. a bit like countries with "Democratic" in their name, which never actually are...


They're still resting upon their nationalised heritage, when they WERE allowed to rip off the consumer and could legally get away with it.
