gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:
Guys sorry if this is a tad specific to give general advice on but...
earlier this week was hit by a car from behind i was stationary in
traffic and she wasnt watching the road and went straight into the back
of me i have been off work with very bad whiplash (using a neck brace)
her insurance company have offered 1k which i thought sounded ok but as
it was their first offer are they likely to up this or should i just
accept or maybe go down one of these no win no fee type company
routes? any advice greatfully received
Strikes me the only person who can answer the important questions is you.
How long will you be in pain from your neck as a result?
How bad will that pain be?
What will you lose (financially and intangibly) be as a result? You've
already been off work for several days. How much longer? Will your
employer wait? Will it affect your ability to work? They're the easy ones
to put a financial number to - but what about the intangibles? Your
leisure time? Your family life?
Once you've figured that lot out - with the help of a doctor and probably
your boss - THEN you can decide if a grand's worth it.
If you're back at work on Monday, with no lasting pain, then it's
probably sufficient.
OTOH, if you can't do your job and are still in a neck brace in 18mo
time, that grand's going to look like an insult.
Get some specialist advice. Even if you don't have any cover directly
(sure? What about AA/RAC?) there's accident management companies who can
help with specialist legal advice, paid for by her insurance.
That's even before you go near the pondlife advertise-on-satellite-tv-in-
the-dead-of-night NWNF ambulance chasers.
