my son is 7.

he is a good kid, a high avhiever for his age. his writing is lovely and he is very clever. he has always had excellent reports from school and takes alot of care over his homework.

having recently gone into a new class this morning he was in a hysterical fit of tears because he was certain his homework was not good enough for his new teacher. I had helped him with it but he wasn't happy with the answers I was giving as they weren't good enough.

when I said I was going to phone the school, he flipped further as the class has been warned not to complain to their parents about him.

earlier this week, I was concerened when my son told me any child that makes a mistake, the teacher rips the page out there and then in front of the class and says do it again - he doesn't accept mistakes.

I know he SHOUTS at the children on a daily basis and I am certain that they must be in fear of physical violence as for a 7 year old that would seem an obvious progression for an agry teacher shouting in your face.

is there a law against this?

I am currently drafting a letter to the head teacher to say that this nonsense needs to stop immediately - he has only been back a week.

your comments appreciated.
First, I'd stop helping your son with his homework - you're English is fucking awful.
