Serious harm? Perhaps not children of that age.

You've asked the question elsewhere in this thread to the effect of "at 10
years old did you not piss about and did you consider the consequences?".

Yes to both, also bare in mind only one of the little thugs was 10 the
others were older.

You may well have considered the consequences, but did you at that age
*appreciate* the *natural* consequences (rather than the punishment
you would probably have expected to face).

These particular children may well have thrown stones at lots of
people and suffered no bad consequences whatsoever. You may have been
a lot luckier in that you were subjected to artificial consequences
(punishments) sufficient to deter you from doing anything seriously
wrong until you were old enough to appreciate the natural consequences
(and thus the reason for the punishment).
