The fact that a child is sexually precocious is no excuse, or should be no
excuse, for the predatory adult who takes advantage of the child. A child
may have been introduced prematurely to sexual activity after being
corrupted by other children or by an adult. There is no rule that says that
only "angels" are entitled to be respected and protected from abuse.
No, there isn't. But when the child appears to be at least 16, and
the "predatory adult" is a naive 18 year old who has been seduced by
the child and subsequently convicted of a very serious sexual offence,
the line between aggressor and victim becomes rather blurred to me.
