Can anybody help on this one. Bought a Panasonic TX28PL10 Tv fom John
Lewis, in 2003. Paid £599 ! But it came with a 5 year guarantee. The
TV has now develpoed a green tint- and is un watchable. Contact John
Lewis, Liverpool (nearest sore-40 miles away). Who first said to me to
contact a local engineer and they would refund me. I refused this, and
they said because they no longer stock the TV- its the older tube
type, they probably couldn't repair or it would cost too much to
repair. They said they would offer me £100 off a new TV as this it
what it costs on internet . eventually arranged for one of their TV
repair companies to come out and have a look at it next week. Where do
I sand on demanding a refund/repair/replacement. They suggested I
shopuld find a replacement. Thanks.

What make of TV is it?

Read the very first line of the text you quoted (above) ;-)

Where it declared the set to be a "Panasonic"?

Isn't that just a brand or a badge, rather than indication of the
manufacturer or country of origin?

----------------

Well Panasonic is a brand name of Matsushita, but it is generally
recognised as a make in its own right.

And the Consumers Association magazine, "Which", has just declared Panasonic
to be the best brand of all, for quality and reliability.
