What is wrong with teachers actually trying to inspire kids and *teach*
rather than rely on technology.
Seems you don't live in the real world matey.
Oh I do
That's the way things are
these days. ICT is an integral part of the curriculum.
Yet you are unable to state which part can't be taught without a laptop.
Frankly to say you can't teach without using a laptop is bollocks. What
part of the curriculum requires the use of a laptop? Maybe, just maybe
computer science, but even that doesn't really, just give every lab a Wise
terminal.
Many schemes of work require the teacher and pupil to use on line resources
which enhance good teaching. I suspect you haven't set foot in a school
recently!!
Which part of put in a Wise terminal didn't you understand?
Why do you need to go online for "good teaching"? Aren't teachers good
enough to teach anymore just because they are teachers?
Really, you haven't actually stated why you all need laptops.
It's about time teachers got into the real world, use computers for
backoffice stuff and actually do what you're paid to do. No lesson needs a
laptop. So just tell your teachers to leave them at home and get on with
their job - I'll chip in 50p for a packet of chalk
I assume you have been reading the 'Daily Mail' a little too much
recently!!! :-)))
Is that really the best you can do? Are you expecting me to retort about
the NUTters making "Red Ken" look like Ghengis Kahn? Pathetic. Get your
fingers out and start teaching, you do not need a laptop to teach.
I work in electronics manufacturing. I don't NEED a laptop to do my
job either. But I'm a whole lot more productive with one. I'm sure
teachers don't NEED laptops either. But it helps.
Jon.
