Interesting article about how easy it is to mess up your computer by
clicking "yes" when trying to access a porn site! Interesting, though,
that the company now seeks to impede those who offer help removing the
billing program from your computer. Effectively you are prevented from
using your computer unless you pay up - a novel way of enforcing a debt.
It's almost like the high tech equivalent to the wheel clamp! I guess that
removing a wheel clamp can land "criminal damage" claims if the clamp is
damaged, yet removing the software by somehow disabling it (no doubt there
will be plenty of sites to help people remove it before too long) is not
really doing "damage" so it would presumably remain in civil rather than
criminal territory in legal terms as far as the user is concerned.
