On would need to check the exact enactment he was charged under. The enactment may be available to all organisations, not just churches. Even if it is confined to churches, since church doors are open to all, then a criminal sanction to deal with those who deliberately disrupt worship may be considered appropriate by a law making body.
"guilty of interfering with church activities"
Isn't that the most chilling phrase.....?
Having said that, threats to blow up another person's or organisation's assets is generally a criminal matter no matter how obnoxious the subject of the threat is deemed to be.
If someone commits criminal acts to further an obsession then the person has to face the consequences, especially when the acts go beyond the bounds of morality generally accepted in a society. This definitely applies in this case, that the 'victim' does not have 'clean hands' in the eyes of some people has no bearing on the matter.
