The list I have details the full info (incl. hash value, file size and

GUID, filesize or Hash values. There are many shareaza / emule clients
on the list - some with the same versions as the ones listed WITH
GUIDs, hashes and size - all without this information... So they didn't
even capture the right hash value or GUID for the majority of the IPs on
the list ! (The list is for around 150 IPs)

The fact that they don't describe how their magic system works for
BitTorrent is a different matter altogether. Also, if you note, the
"file sharing monitor" paper is dated 24 July 2006 - a good few months
before the 'monitoring' took place.
