I thought Townsend admitted this and was cautioned?

Pete Townsend accepted a caution though no pornography was ever found
by the police.

Why would someone do that? Surely he could not be found guilty of
anything if no pictures were found?

I think he addmitted being there to do research for a book.

I must admit I would have thought his highly expensive brief would have
advised him to say nought and deny everything seeing as how there was
no real evidence.
