"The man who became a celebrity after he was mistaken for an internet
expert and interviewed on BBC News 24 could see a film made about his
story"

And there is a link from that page to the interview with Guy the taxi
driver who was asked to comment on an important court ruling and
improvised some comments as best he could. Hilarious though it is, what
is striking is that in reality any nitwit can be asked to comment on
decisions of our courts or on internet-related matters, can spout some
bull*** and can nevertheless satisfy the editorial requirements of the
programme. The masses don't expect to be educated, they just want a few
random soundbites.

I meant to add - those who have seen the Peter Sellers film "Being There"
will be reminded of Chance the gardener, an imbecile whose words of wisdom
are lapped up by the media in the belief that they are very profound. And
evidently this can happen in real life!
