Not answering your question, but surely if the hard disk was formatted and
windows etc. re-installed, the software would no longer exist?
Part of it sits in the BIOS and cannot be removed. When the PC is
rebuilt it checks to see if it's still there and if not downloads and
reinstalls itself. Very clever ya know ;o)
