What, you mean that you didn't think they would be extended from terrorists, to other serious criminals, then to any criminals, then to anyone committing "antisocial behaviour" such as wearing an anti-Blair t-shirt?

This is why it is so important to object to these things on principle from the outset. Once you concede the principle, it is so much more difficult to object to the next incremental extension of them.
