Small ad readers conned of cash

So how does this work. Surely if you give someone your bank account
number and sort code all they can do is pay money into your account.
If bank are paying out on just the above it's the banks problem as they
don't have the customers permission.
Also if the seller is sending the goods to somewhere else other than
the address of the biller...
