Hi,
I was caught back in February going through a red light. The night was
very rainy and cold. If I had stopped my car in time I would have
easily lost control of my car, I know its limits. This is exactly why
I didnt attempt to do harsh braking. The report says the light was red
for 1.2 seconds.
So, on a rainy cold night, you were driving so fast that the amber light
did not provide enough warning?
And your problem with the ticket is what exactly?
Do you think I will stand any chance in Court? I have a hearing next
month!
I think you're screwed. Admit the charge (as you have here), and take
what's coming. If you can resolve it before it gets to court, then do
so.
You will have to fill in the Means Test document provided, so that any
fine is relevant to your dispoable income. Do this before you get to
Court.
It's likely that your plea (whatever you decide to put forward) will
be disregarded. You will be found guilty and probably fined about
£100 plus about £40 costs.
But you will get an insight into how the English Magistrates Courts
work, while you wait for your care to be heard....
