Gosh, lucky they had coincidentally had a massive airstrike in the air
at the time, eh?

Really? I read that the USS Ward attacked a midget submarine and sank it
during a routine patrol at 6.37, and the main Japanese (suprise) attack
was
at 7:53. On that basis a pedant would say that the Americans committed
the
first act of war.

Furthermore, you are ignorant, illiterate, and grossly overweight.

You've lost your argument chum...

Thanks for letting me know. Will there be a fee?

Firstly all your 'facts' are counter to accepted postwar history, even
by the Japanese.

History by the Japanese? No, but I have to admire the way you imply that
you are familiar with all postwar history books, even those in Japanese. A
masterstroke.

Then resorting to infantile insults... you are beyond the pale...

Merely following suit. Mr Parris_k believes that his points are more
credible and carry more weight if he accuses his opponent of ignorance and
stupidity.

Amusingly, YOU are the one who started flinging insults about Sun
readers etc etc. I merely think your arguemnt is weakened by the
ignorance and stupidity contained within it e.g.:

- You were ignorant of the fact that the Belgrano had two exocet armed
escorts
- You were ignorant of the fact that the Task Force had already been
attacked before the Belgrano was sunk
- You were ignorant of teh fact that the Belgrano was the soutehrn part
of an attempted pincer movement on the Task force
- You were ignorant of the support given by the Americans
- You were ignorant of the statements made by the Belgrano's own
captain

In short, you talk very hard about something of which you know little..

...and , of course the stupidity was also noteworthy:

- You stupidly believe the other side should be informed of any change
in the rules of engagement
- You stupidly regard a heavily armed warship in the vicinity of a Task
force it has been ordered to attack as no threat
- You stupidly believe the sinking of such a warship, in a war zone to
be "illegitimate".
- You stupidly believe that the crew of teh Belgrano who were "just
doing their job" (which was to sink our ships and drown our soldiers)
didn't "deserve" what happened to them

As he chooses to make use of those rusty old torpedos, I find it
amusing to fire them back at him.

See above..
