Eviction based on rent arrers

Hi
I have a slight problem and i was wondering if anybody could offer me
advice. As i understand it im in a bit of a catch 22 situation as each
time i go to court im hit with a £450 bill for the other partys
solicitors costs.
Basically it started a while ago, i didnt get my student loan,
therefore rent wasnt paid. Landlord expresly agrred they were happy to
wait till student loan arrived. It did not arrive for ~6 months and I
ended up with a notice of seeking possesion.
I didnt attend court and they won the case, i owed them the money so i
thought what was the point. A warrent for eviction was then listed. I
applied for a suspension to this warrent, paid off 900 of a total 1800
+ 200 costs. Offered to pay the balance before 2 weeks. The other
party asked for costs of £450, and then said they were going to seek
possesion on further grounds-lots of breaches of tenancy.
The judge suspended the order and set a date for 2.5 weeks in the
future. I then get a letter through from their solicitor stating they
were no longer intending to seek possesion on other grounds (breaches
of tenancy) and it was just a case of the £450 + another £450 for the
hearing 2.5 weeks later.
So i pay the balance. Get quite ill and unfortunatly as a result turn
up to court ten minuets late. I miss the hearing. Basically the
warrent was re-instated and a further £900 costs added.
Im a little confused as to how the warrent was reinstated if all the
costs up to that point were paid?
So i dont really know what my options are at this point.
I think they are as follows:
Im thinking i can apply for another suspension order. But that means a
further £450 in addition to the initial £900 costs + the first £200
costs. This is costing more than the rent, its rediculous.
Or
I can leave and rent somewhere else and just pay the £900 costs, and
forget about the advance rent i have allready paid the landlord,
although ill need to find enough cash to do this (ive given all my
money to the landlord). Is there any way to get the landlord to take
some responsibility for this stupidity and get them to pay the costs?
Please give your thoughts, thankyou.
