had been barred in some countries, is that correct and does anyone know
which countries?

It's not a question of them being banned, it's more a question of the
evidence they provide being legally acceptable by the courts.

In Cuba , for instance, they don't need Laser Speed Meters, if a
policeman says you are breaking the speed limit you are breaking the
speed limit.

End of story.
