Re: Landlord getting stroppy as we have changed utilities provider

Hello looking for help here please, will try to be brief, been renting here
for 18 months and using Brit gas for elec&gas, decided after their price
hike
to change both to Npower, this has been done with elec and gas will be done
next Wed.
I thought I would do things correctly and as a matter of courtesy I
informed
the letting agents, they told me that they would let the landlord know, they
rang this afternoon and told me that the landlord would take advice on
this
and let the agency know his decision tomorrow (Sat)!!!
I find this amazing as its already been done it cannot be changed and I
cannot see that he can have a say as to who we use to supply our power..
There is nothing in the tenancy agreement stating that we must use a
certain
supplier and when we moved in no one knew who supplied what as the
previous
tenants were evicted,it took me a week phoning around to find this out..
Any advice would be appreciated please...

It is no business of the landlord. Politely tell him to go away.
