Don't be silly. Have a couple of aspirin and lie down until you come
to your senses.

The BBC is the propagnda arm of the state. It supports the state in
everything it does. Don't mistake the government of the day for the
state though.

You know, until recently I would have viscerally defended the BBC and
opposed such suggestions as calumny, but now I'm pretty sure you're
right on the money. I think the BBC has changed dramatically since the
Andrew Gilligan controversy and its aftermath.
