If it's included in the price, what's the big deal. I got a new driving
licence a while ago - for anything serious, you need both the paper part

Only people with something to hide dont want an ID card, (plus the do
gooders who continue to protect those with something to hide)
I lean toward the "nothing to hide" view of things but I don't support the
ID card idea as I see it as a total waste of money that I can't see
imprroving security or reducing crime one iota.
I'm with you on that one.
I have no real objections *in principle* to ID cards. But I think
these will cost too much (whether we pay directly or via taxes), and
will not do most of the things being claimed for them.
