Why can't they just lock this bugger up for a while - it's getting
ridiculous having to read something about him and his drug related problem
every week or so?

Perhaps sometime in prison might help Mr Doherty to sort his life out?

Because prison is not a social service and offers little or no treatment.
The individual offences so far have been at the lower end of the scale, and
below the prison threshhold.

And don't tell me there are no drugs inside - I know of people whose habits
wera acquired in custody.
