Pleural plaques? Or pleural thickening?
I suggest you contact John Pickering, a firm who specialise in asbestos
compensation claims, even those which other firms turn down. The deal is,
you make a list of all possible sources of asbestos throughout your life and
if any of those was an organisation who still have money (or whose insurers
have money) you stand to get some money.
