Quite a shocking programme from a number of viewpoints. Why did the jury not
get to hear all of this medical evidence? Why does it take a BBC reporter to
uncover so many of these facts that the expert witnesses at the trial never
revealed? What the hell were the defence team doing letting two two people
get convicted when there is a known medical condition that explains all the
symptoms? Even in the absence of a known medical condition the fact that the
hospital couldn't get the child's salt levels down is surely clear proof
that it wasn't a simple overdose.
Another nail in the coffin lid of British justice IMO and another grievous
indictment against the quality of defence lawyers. I hope a speedy appeal
resolves this injustice.
