Like some of the cot death cases this one struck me as an absurd conviction
based once again on the guesses and supposition of medical experts. Trying
to kill a child with salt is such an utterly ridiculous proposition I'm
astonished a jury went for it. Who would even know that such a thing is
possible? Maybe in the future this case will do some good though. Next time
someone is accused of killing a child based on nothing more than the
fabrications of medical experts the defense can bring the court's attention
to the Meadow's cases and this one and point out that medical science just
doesn't know all the answers.
