Just so you know what youre going to be doing:

You are going to be offering to pay all claims against your wife (you
are the one paying the bill)you offor a full and final settlement by
cheque and the min. the cheque is cashed, thats the end of it.

The reason the courts will hold that they guy accepted a lessor amount
from you as full payment for all debts that your wife run up and to
continue a claim against your wife is a fraud on you....qed...ie you
would not have paid if they guy was not going to accept the amount you
offored as final.

Now of course there is case law....but dont bother with that just yet
and dont smile at the *** when you ask for an adj....just get the
adj...and then start the negs.
