So IIUC you were in fact entitled to park, but at that time your permit
wasn't displayed? If so, then you are being perused on a technicality so
should have no qualms about fighting the ticket on the same grounds.
However you may be remembering it incorrectly - are you sure your permit
wasn't displayed? The issuer might say it wasn't, but given his evident lack
of observation skills regarding the make of vehicle, can his word really be
relied upon? After all someone who has a permit has nothing to gain by not
displaying it.
