I think they worried about the other long before they got interested in
racism. The reality is they try to find people who are good honest decent
citizens, and do try to avoid all the horrible traits you mention plus a few
more I suspect.
Remember the earlier thread where the guy trying to join the police was
tasked with getting details about his flat mates before being accepted.
