I don't know but please don't worry about it. (I'll ask my shrink the
next time they let me out to see him!)

It's not just me. The Todal's responses in two or three of his posts
recently have been a bit out of character for him and a couple of
"regular" posters have commented on it and asked him to consider an
apology.

I think it is partly to do with the subject under discussion at the
moment. It is a subject that seems to polarise people into two, maybe
three groups and we all seem to have strong feelings and reactions about
it.

In my case there is another factor which comes into play every year
around this time. I will email you in a week or two and explain myself
and it may help you to understand me a bit better. It is not something I
would care to get into on a public newsgroup. Not intending to sound
cryptic, but something very personal. Others in uk.legal who have been
around a long time (and who know some of my past lives) may be able to
guess what it might be.
