Query on recruitment company job submissions

I've notice that, when applying for jobs via recruitment companies, I no
longer get told by ANY of them if I've been unsuccessful.

Instead, I get absolute silence. I've noticed it with the 'biggies' like
Monster, as well.

Is this now normal practice?
