Re: S2hr , science RO , cv-selector , CV select, VERY DODGY!

I think I've just been scammed by this, I had a call last week from
someone claiming to be from Alderbridge (a real reputable company)
saying my skills are perfect for a job they have and the employer is
happy with what I can do but doesn't like the way the CV is laid out
and they are picky about it. She then said they have an account with
CV Select, it's normally £99 to get it re-laid out but they have an
account and they can get it for £39 and that wil be refunded once I
get the interview secured which is almost guaranteed.
I agreed as I'm in desperate need of a job at the moment and I figured
anything would help.

She then put me on hold but it came off hold and I heard her having a
conversation with someone from CV Select, looking back now, I was
meant to hear that conversation as they went over how much I'm saving
etc.

I then got put through and they took my card details off me, I also
paid an extra £12 to get the CV sent to me within 7 days rather than a
month (£51 total).
The next day I got an invoice from them. then I got an email (genuine)
from Alderbridge saying I had not got a job I'd applied for, thinking
it was the one over the phone I sent a nasty email back (which I
shouldn't have done as it wasn't their fault!) saying what had
happened.

I've just received a phone call from Alderbridge to say they've never
even heard of CV Select and it looks like I've been a victim of some
sort of Hoax


Does anyone know how we can get our money back from these scammers?
£51 is a lot to me
