If you're new rules, then you have no need to provide this information,
certainly not any financial info on your partner. The only reason they may
require your partners information (and by that I mean only her name, date of
birth and national insurance number) is if you are claiming for any children
in your household that would be registered with her, and only then if there
is a linked case involving her.

The last time I looked (on the old system) you didn't have to provide
this information.
The only time you should provide this information is if it is to your
advantage, and that would probably be if your partner wasn't working.
i.e you are supporting them and paying all housing costs. This is
useful if the PWC applies for a departure stating that your partner
contributes to the housing costs and therefore you can afford to pay
more.
The CSA will probably tell you that you will be penalised for not
providing this information (like they did with us) when they really
mean you will be assessed differently. (an interim B). This can be the
right thing to do depednign on your circumstances.
However it may be different under the new system, and I'm sure that
someone will be along very shortly to confirm.
