Okay, another half hour on the 'phone and still no progress. Tried the
0845 6090042 number suggested and, after repeating the full story,
found they couldn't help at all as they deal with the new system only!

Called the usual number and got through to an assistant. She advised
that I need to talk to an office in location x, as per my lunch time
call, and put me on hold while she tried to locate the number. 20
minutes later she returned, without a number. I gave her the number
that I was given earlier. She then tried this number herself, only to
find that they are closed for the day.

She has promised to follow this up for me tomorrow and call me with a
progress report tomorrow evening.

Very frustrating but it is still early days, we are not too far into
the 13 weeks as yet. I don't want to start threatening dispute
resolution etc, I would rather take a softly-softly approach and
hopefully keep them onside.
