Those who don't vote then can't influence which party gets into

Reserch shows people don't vote because they either don't believe their
vote will make any difference or because they have no trust/confidence
about the Parties or politicians - and the current closed system is
designed to prevent independents standing. For example, when did a
labour/Con/Lib candidate stump up the election fee out of their own
pocket?

Luckily our system of government doesn't require a party to get more
votes

Are we really priviledged that the Current government was put their by
22% of the electorate.... and the result of a national election decided
by 50 or so marginal seats?

The solution is simple - have a box on the voting paper which says
'None of the Above' ... of course it would cause a constitutional
crisis were it put there ... which is why the 3 main parties would
never allow it.

....And the election sytem they imposed/endoesed in Iraq was not a first
past the post system as we have here. Thats how good it is.

If they had decided to vote, they could have changed everything.

Do people really think they could change everything had they voted?

Then you need to be in touch with their customer service departments. Not
everyone slags the CSA off.

Customer services department?... Service? CSA? .... Axiomatic me
thinks.
Have you ever tried contacting the CSA? What letter was thet you sent
sir?

Oh wow. They (benefits) make such a big difference to a working
parent too.
Try 50+ hours of childcare during holidays (never mind for younger
children
not at school during term). There is a limit to the state help.

Yes for NRP that amounts to about £0 per year in child benfit and £0
per year in Tax Credit (Child element) ... that makes at a life
changing £0 per year for NPRs

True.
However, look how much childcare they also need.

Yes... Both PWC and NRPs need child care - not just one as Mr Blair
appears to think ... and the sooner we get ride of those offensive
labels the better.
