Blind leading the blind? People should maybe become informed, but then we'd
have even more appathy.
I'm lucky enough to have local polotitian who is proactive, the only one
Iv'e ever seen. He looks after pensioners, organises rubbish collections
ect.
When I asked the guys to move stuff for me, he turned up himself with the
Bin Wagon and volenteers from the community, and got his hands dirty!
He walks around the estate and is a man who talks to concerned residents.
I never seen any polotitian do this unless it was a press opertunity, this
guy earned my first vote ever.
He's a lib dem.
Does anyone else know of a polititian who puts his beleifs into action?

As a conservative, I'd have to disagree.
Labour changed a bit, as did all the parties over the decades. The
traditional bases of support have eroded away, people now will more
commonly choose who to vote for (or even not to vote) based on things
other than who their parents voted for, or who their union wants.

Sorry Martin there only my children.
I think Tony Blair would be a good starting point - he has only had
8 years to sort it out - and it is his failure to do anything for 8
years which has resuted in the 'abuse' of children, fathers and
mothers. There is 100 deaths of fathers attributed to the CSA. boot.
Would make a wonderful motion for the Oxford Debating Society
Any of the politicians could have done something. But Conservative
party was in power when CS1 scheme was created, and still in power
when CS2 change started to be talked about.
However, is a small minority enough to get someone charged?
