Regarding the legal position that there has to be agreement re
cancellation of a direct debit, such an assertion appears at odds with
what the Banking Service who are the authority of DDs - check out this
link for their position.

As for keeping to the law and regulations, the CSA are of course role
models for everyone in that regard
Child Support law does state that the NRP must continue to make full
payment until the CSA revise the assessement. Of course that revision
could take months or years (14 months and counting in my case) and it
gives CSA officers the very excuse they need to take enforcement action
against the NRP so they qualify for pay bonuses.
