Options such as?
Often it does come down to a choice between benefits or simply having no
money coming in at all.
Hardly much of a choice - especially if you have a family.

People expect benefits to pay out enough to live on. Can be quite a bit less
than working, and over a lifetime benefit lifestyle is a lot worse than
working lifestyle.
Working will pay more - but have to pay more out too. Thats for those that
can get a job too - can range from difficult to impossible for single
parents, sick and disabled.

Oh, and a hefty percentage of NRPs get benefit in their own right these
days.
