Hi
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
After reading the responses, I dug out the receipt for the xbox and - its
less than 12 months old :-)
I have just got off the phone to Game (where we bought it from) and I
started to describe the problem and the woman finished
my description by saying "It puts rings on the game disc?" so it sounds like
I'm not the 1st.
We have to take the xbox into the shop so they can test it (!!!) and if they
can replicate it, will swap out for a new one.
Cant go today but should be able to take it in Monday.
She also said that they haven't got any solution to recoat the damaged game
but we could send it off to head office who would do it
(in reality, we'll probably take it round to gamestation who will recoat it
for about 2 or 3 quid)
My main concern now is if they test it and its fine while we are there!
aghh, ZX Spectrums were never this troublesome! [oh, hang on, yes they
where......]
many thanks for the replies, I'll keep you posted.
cheers
the whole testing thing is bollocks mate.
sure, they have the right to make sure it's faulty, but if they try
and fob you off, just stand your ground and they'll swap it
eventually.
