setting up a new player for the kids on TDU. Wanted to get them plenty

San Andreas, and the car plunged into a 'sea'. It did allow me to
reset the car but I was quite shocked to see this sort of problem. I
hope this is the game rather than the machine.

weird, i've never seen that happen in my copy.

could be a slight fault on the disc, might be worth trying to recreate
it, drive along the same road in the same car to see if it does it
again.

chances are it was just a one off, but better to make sure your disc
isn't duff.

wish i could remember which road it was but it was just another one of
those bumpy weaving things. I also had a lock up on my main game when
I came out of getting a car sprayed, game froze and I had to actually
reboot the machine to start again. Is the slight jerkiness in
framerate any indication or is that normal?

TDU does have an occasional stutter to the framerate. It also does the road
dissapearing thing as well. But only in certain places on the map. I've
seen it a few times but the game recovers and it was all over the TDU forums
at the time.

I wouldn't worry about it. When you get frequent dirty disk errors or games
refuse to start up thats when your DVD drive is almost knackered.

thanks, I feel a lot better now. Now I know why I was resisting the
urge to go for the 360 :O)
