for all deathmatch so I suppose it depends what type of multiplayer game
you play. It could get more interesting playing team deathmatch. Its fast
and frantic.

I played team deathmatch online and wasn't impressed with it at all.

I've been playing it for some time now, and it's bloody entertaining.
Weapons are fun, action is frantic, and I like the fact that the maps
are smaller.

The main drawback with COD3 was the huge maps where you could wander
for days (sort of), and the only life you'd find was the bugs crawling
in the grass.

COD4 is more intimate. COD4 is more fun.
