Is it possible to buy the messenger pad without a sodding headset (and hence

Same with the vision camera.
I have the original headset that my Premium came with, plus a wireless one.
If I bought the camera and messenger pad I would now have 3 spare wired
headsets!
I wouldn't imagine it would cost that much less. I know what you mean
though. I bought a wireless headset and a camera and have 2 wired
headset floating around somewhere. I've switched off the messenger
support on the 360 though as it bloody annoying to have someone trying
to have a conversation with you while you're in a game. If it supported
full screen video chat like the PC version then I might be tempted to
use it again.
I'm not entirely sure that messenger is there for you to have a
conversation while playing a game - it's there to message while in
lobbies waiting, watching videos or just on the dashboard without the
inconvenience of having to go switch on your PC.
