Rather than go down the fanboy route as Ash would appear to be suggesting, have a look now and in the near future to see what games you'd like to play and the answer as to which console to buy will become apparent...

With the 3 year warranty from MS you don't really need to worry about the RRoD problem. It'll just be a minor inconvenience if you need to send it back that's all.

I'm sure i read somewhere that there was a minor revision to the Elite hardware (moved the CPU and GPU further apart or something) so you may find that you'll have less of a problem with one of those, and you'll have a bigger HDD and HDMI to boot!
