xbox 360 and live

Hey :-)

been enjoying my xbox 360 along with ridge racer 6 doa 4. I was wondering
what this xbox live stuff was about.

I've been one of those slow snails who stuck on dialup till a few weeks ago
and am now jaw dropping looking at broadband. I no longer have to go and
make a drink while waiting for a page to load.

So being a lazy tart is live a free service or is it another monthly bill.

do you get free demos from something called the market place ? or is this
free once you pay a subsciption.

Very interested in it as it would be nice to show off my didgy skills
against other gamers. As I normally play on it alone.

Liking it very much, become my best mate since sky plus lol
