well i guess part of it is that it might not be EA that are making it but some small games developers which EA swallowed.

also since its not (so far) going on other platforms that i have heard, they don't need to baseline and therefore cripple it on the PS2 first. 

It's coming out on Xbox, PS2, PSP and 360 I believe.
