If you have an Xbox 1 account you can transfer it to the 360.

If you don't have an Xbox 1, I believe you will actually need the 360

That's not correct.

I used an Xbox 1 Live starter kit code yesterday on my 360 Live account 

and

it just picks it up as a 12 month Gold subscription code. So all works 

well

and I now have a subscription up to Feb 2007 for £20 from Argos!

So, yes you can use it even after transferring your existing live account 

to

the 360. Just go to the Membership page on the Dashboard and add the
pre-paid code as per normal.

The headset will possibly work too?
