I've had a 360 for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I put a game's disc in

I took the disc from the x-box and found a groove had been scored
around the disc about 10mm from the edge ruining the disc.

I checked this out on Google and found there is a problem, although
usually it can happen if you change the orientation of the x-box while
a disc is still playing.

However while the disc was being scored I didn't touch the box nor was
it subject to any vibrations or knocks?

Went back to Game but they were very dismissive as was the x-box
helpline.

Anyone else had this? Shall I get on to Watchdog yet?

I can not find the link, but had a video demo of someone turning the xbox 360 on its side and back again with the Quake 2 bonus CD in, he showed the disk before and after and it had a large circular score in it. Can't find the link, but am sure someone will post it.

I just don't move the box at all, best way. Mines standing up.
