Yes, as long as the service works as described, I couldn't have asked for
more, other than an instant swap-out centre locally! (And I note the
address on the extended warranty is in fact local in Havant, at a site that
used to be a major manufacturing plant for IBM HD's).
The comment re 300k in Europe is probably correct. They guy I spoke to in
MS was clearly not UK-based, and probably did mean Europe.
Intereresting comment on another thread though. Yesterday on seeing what
360's were going for on eBay, I seriously considered selling mine before
opening the box. I hadn't bought it for that, so didn't, but would have if
I'd managed to get a second one. But it did also hit me that unless I paid
cash, and in a store, how complex would "returns" be? My 360, like many I
guess, was paid on my credit card; via a website under my account name,
logon id, password etc and of course my address. Room for disputes I
guess. However having said that, my own tale earlier is proof that MS will
just fix any problems directly. They didn't even ask me where I bought
it - though clearly with such a new product, there can be no doubt as to its
warranty - even if strictly speaking the T's and C's only consign that to
the original purchaser.
